The gen4 are marked up as allgrip, as are new Vitara , some sx4  , some swift,  indeed some Ignis .   Is this the same system as the jimny gen 3 ?

I think the 4 is referred to as allgrip pro and is the same idea as the 3 but with a more advanced electronic control pack. The other vehicles are essentially front driving with a viscous coupling for the rear wheels and are just allgrip. That's my understanding.

Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

Lambert is spot on, allgrip pro is what the Gen4 uses, same setup as gen3, rwd with part time 4x4 via transfer box. Normal allgrip is AWD with no transfer box.

The pro means it is an active system. Applies brakes like an ESP and stop or reduce wheel spin on the least grippy wheel so traction is improved. Otherwise all same as gen3.
