Wow! What would you buy with 31,000, surely it wouldn't be a Jimny. Chris

Yes l've seen that one on the Dealer Website, it's been on sale for around two months.

I doubt anybody will pay that money, when you can get them
on Auto Trader for £7,000 less

It's an absolute bubble at the moment and they're making hay before the commercial one comes out. As to who's buying them? It must only be those who missed out before Suzuki pulled them. It's certainly not those looking for a basic 4wd as you can buy one of these for similar money

Think it’s a real shame that autotrader has SO Many cars for sale .private and main dealer , cashing in. Having ordered at 10 am the morning the dealer allowed me too place an order in 2018 and then nearly 12 month wait I think it’s all been handled badly by Suzuki and many of their dealers ,I was cross when told a friend of dealers son had jumped me in the queue and then sold it back to them for profit ,,! However Suzuki Anglesey honoured a list price car this month to a friend obviously A dealer who looks after clients. Just wish people like me who really wanted one to keep were better looked after. In nearly a year yet to see one on road. Shame , v good car , lousy set up.

I bet the same show will happen to the commercial Jimny, it's already been stated that the annual numbers will be very limited, even less than the passenger version.

Bury rd Bolton?
I was in there two weeks ago, they had white, blue and yellow Jimnys all at £26,000.
I couldn't justify paying 26k never mind 31k.

lt's not really Suzuki's fault, it's emissions regulations that have killed cars like the Jimny and the VW Up GTi.
They can't make too many of them as it will affect the
company's overall "carbon footprint" and result in large fines.
As for dealers selling them for £30,000. l emailed Suzuki twice about that, and they replied both times.
Basically saying that they didn't agree with it, but once the dealer has registered a vehicle it effectively becomes used, and Suzuki then has no control over what price the dealer sells it at.

I suppose Suzuki COULD try to force their dealers not to do it, but in the end these people are out to make as much money as they can.

Our local dealer is a family owned business and they honoured the list price on all new Jimnys delivered to them.
However they got rewarded by being treated no differently by Suzuki than the dealers who had sold them at £26,000.
They were hoping for a few extra in their allocation but they only received one Jimny after May this year.

My local Dealer told me they have people on a waiting list already for this new 2 seater coming out next year yet we don't have full details of spec and price strange times.

l've seen some details on a Japanese site and it's basically an SZ4 specification with steel wheels
and a rear load area rather than seats plus blacked out rear windows.
lt will most likely be identical to drive as the normal Jimny although having no rear seats will limit the market to some extent.
