Hi Guys, just stumbled across this video of an Australian guy plasti-diping? the roof on his Gen.4!
In theory this is a great idea, especially if you're running an expedition rack and can't clean the room that easily - this would protect the paintwork nicely.
Not sure about his execution though...... tell me what you think

Tell me about it you would have thought he'd have done some research before doing the job.. he didn't warm the cans up and applied a super thick wet coat which just fish eye'd!
Could have been a nice job.. so close yet so far..

I can't help but admire this chap's positivity and he did upload the video. I think I would have deleted it to protect the innocent. This man is not a natural paint sprayer but as a childrens TV presenter he could flourish.

I found it quite entertaining and he was selling it as " Let's have a go and see how it goes ". The results are interesting, but it is an expensive way to just change the colour. I guess he just wanted the option to peel it all off if he was not happy with the results.
Certainly is an interesting product and as said Ideal under a roof rack.
I quite like the fact he believed repeated application over a lumpy start would makd things better, and considering he applied with his fingers in places, it does not look too bad. Just shows we are all different....

That was most definitely an interesting watch...a little cringeworthy at times.

The hardest part for me to watch, was when he began to run his finger around the pool of paint in the roof gutter.
