Battery isolator question...

Hi, guys,

Recently, I purchased a 'new toy' from a hugely respected Forum member, which came with only one key, the non- remote version.
Timpsons are going to resolve this problem for me in the coming week !!!

However, whilst I've been dwelling on the subject of keeping my new toy all to myself, I began thinking about fitting a battery isolation switch ( which I just happen to have !).

What I would like to know is this....which side (positive or negative) is it best to break into, and do I need to provide any additional electrics to keep minor services powered up (eg. the radio code, ECU....) ??

Forgive my ignorance...mechanically, I'm a genius....electrically, I'm a buffoon !!!!

Cheers,
Gus

You mean break into the power line to the starter, Jack...??
Presumably, this would leave everything else intact..?

I would have more idea if i had a wiring diagram
So if you can find a fuse that feeds the ignition
just cut the wire and send it through your isolation switch
easy to pull out the fuse to find a suitable wire
just make sure it does not effect central locking so you can still lock it :)
