Tyre question was created by seisobs
Hi Guy's and Gals,
I have a 65 Plate Jimny and have joined a metal detecting club, can you recommend a good set of tyres for getting me in/out of fields (pretty muddy testerday, had to be pushed out).
Also, can you get tyres that will give you a little more ground clearance

Many thanks.
Jake

Welcome to the forum. If you're only doing a bit of slightly off road driving then a branded set of all terrain tyres will not let you down. Brands like Maxxis, General Grabber and BF Goodrich have excellent offerings to name 3. As for sizes a 195.80r15 will fit your existing wheels and give you a few more mm under the diffs without adverse effects on the gearing and clutch.

One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

Welcome and yes i agree 195/80/15 new branded tyres
Not retreads as these will be larger in diameter and could catch your bumper
If you want something more aggressive look at KUMHO KL71
