After a recent trip out green laning and then spending hours cleaning off the underside and bumper cavities..... Has anyone made up a set of mud flaps? the though of spending £35+ a corner on rubber from the dealer makes me shiver
Thanks guys and I'll put up a newbie post soon with pictures of the first adventure!

You didnt mention what generation jimny your running. But regardless, i know someone on here fairly recently made their own mud flaps from a kit for their gen 4. They were from demon tweeks at the time if i remember correctly.
Ive tried having a look for this persons old thread on here, but ive yet to find it. I'll keep looking. It may have been soeley who made em, but not 100% sure.
Doesnt help much i know, but hopefully said person will be along shortly. Just wanted to say hi, and welcome mainly.
Andy.

Welcome to the Forum! I'm looking for a similar solution Jack. The genuine suzuki Mud flaps do look pretty swish although if you're doing any serious off roading, they could get damaged/lost over time so the 35 quid a corner is pretty steep. Soley (Black gen.4) Has made some Mudflaps with the universal sort that you trim to size (Demon tweeks I think). Might follow this route myself!

I'm wondering if the DIY kits could be crafted into something similar to the defender flaps, but the ones I've seen so far are too shiny, like a vinyl that I'm not too keen on.
As with about every other part on the jimny, I am on the lookout for upgrades, but as we all know the accessory side of things is rather slow at the minute.

DIY sounds like the best route at the mo. made a set for my now long gone classic mini however that was a case of cheap joinery 'L' brackets and pop rivets Fortunately this is before I learned that I'm handy with a spanner and fabrication so much better now!
Believe the OG flaps have metal reinforcing shapes where they are attached to the arches so maybe if i can get hold of a template for that i can make my own, then get the universal type and cut to suit while still utilising the stock mounting method?
Hopefully Soley will pop up and drop some wisdom on us all
