Engine emissions warning light

Hi everyone
Can anyone give me an idea of why the engine emissions light has just come on !
The vehicle had been stood for a couple of months with some fuel in, before using it I did put a gallon of fresh fuel in.
The light came on after about 6-7 miles.
Any thoughts would be great !
Cheers!

Without a fault code read from the obd2 port it's almost impossible to say what the cause is. It could be fuel related or that could just be a coincidence. Readers are cheap to buy or a friendly garage shouldn't charge the earth for a quick diagnostic test.

Yep needs reading.

You can at least on some model use a jumper wire on a terminal by the headlight or ECU. But for the cost of a reader which you'll use for many years it's not really worth the bother
