Realise there have been a few posts on this in the forum but just to say my story on the Gen 4 up Gatescarth Pass is now live on PistonHeads and can be found here.
I wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone on BigJimny for being so friendly and helpful and, of course, a special thanks to Sniper, Riccy, and ahtr and their associates for their patience on the day. Quite a bit of stopping and starting to bag the images but I hope you'll agree it was worth the while and once we were done with this we got a chance to really test the Gen 4 with some additional lanes and less faffing about. Was a wonderful day out and you guys are great ambassadors for the world of Jimny!
More pics and videos (including a full one of the ascent from Riccy) on the the previous thread here and further thanks to them for putting those forward.
And let's just say a little 'attention' with a spanner before the vehicle was collected got the radius arm mounts looking better than they did on the day! Other than that the Gen 4 absolutely romped it.
Thanks,
Dan

The radius arm mounts are definitely the bit that tends to bottom out first, have taken all the paint off mine already

Do you know of anyone that sells the guards, Lambert? Are they as per Gen3?

I would say from Andy's pic the gen3 will fit fine. They look identical

Ooooh I'd not seen that they'd already started releasing bits for the Gen4. They're already selling a rear diff guard and are working on loads of other bits.
What's the quality of their stuff like? I've never used them before.
