The shocking price of genuine parts was created by CC Baxter
I still do it now, open a freshly delivered box of goodies and shout "how much?"
Of course while we all dislike paying good money for anything, genuine parts make a lot of sense. You can buy them on a part number knowing they were designed to fit, not just adapted. I am particularly impressed with the printed instructions that come with the official accessories now (this is new to me).
Remember you only pay once for the good stuff and as is human nature you quickly foget how much you paid anyway.
There's always an exception, l've just fitted some roof bars. I paid £65 for Thule as the Suzuki part (also Thule) retails at £275, result!

I also got the Thule bars, I paid £69. I really don't get the massive mark-up. If they charged say £100 surely they would sell more and you wouldn't mind the mark-up so much to get the matching branding?

Except that in general Suzuki parts aren't that dear. It's not like Subaru or Mitsubishi or Mercedes Benz their part pricing is sacrilegious.

A case in point. £132.00. Really like this, but canny justify that cost. Just no way.

We buy parts for all brands at work, over 500k £ a year. Suzuki is generally low cost, Mitsubishi is the at the top, i mean a grille for an outlander is 900£(+VAT)!!
