Dash pod removal and clean? was created by Jimx5
I have done an 'how to' search but the only one relevant dates back to 2011 and has no pictures.

When i saw and bought my Jimny last winter it had been on the sellers forecourt for God knows how long and was covered in 4" of snow with one of the side wjndows left open an inchor so, on the test drive the screen was streaming with condensation as the heater warmed up and there was also condensation on the inside of the instrument cluster which i presumed would clear, which it eventually did, but it has left dried smears behind the plastic 'glass'.

So how do i get the pod out and can i remove the 'glass' to clean it.

04 reg Jimny 'mode' if that helps.

Many thanks, Dave.

I am between Jimnys at the moment so I cant test the theory but I am sure you remove the screw in the middle of the instrument surround, pop it out then remove the screws holding the instrument cluster, edge it forward, disconnect the speedo housing and electrical plugs.
Once its out the plastic 'glass' should just clip off.

I seem to remember refitting the speedometer cable is a bit tricky.
