Hi guys new to jimny driving , got home and had a burning oil smell looked under car and found a leak

it seems to be from the trans end of the rear shaft any ideas to wot seal i need to replace guys

There's a silly design flaw with the early push button propshaft where a hole allows the oil out. Have a search on here as it's a fairly easy fix.

Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

I thought that was the intermediate shaft between the gearbox and the transfer box, letting the Gearbox oil out?

This picture is the rear prop shaft isn't it?
The shaft seal under the transfer box output flange i guess. Should be most wet on the transfer box by the flange if so.
The oil drops fly around at speed making everything aft of the leak look like a disaster.

Mine leaks a bit btw as mine is a 2005. later 2009-10 or so got a new design.
Tried to seal it with silicone but not a complete success..
I just refill for now while looking for a new(er) shaft.

Norway 2005 Jimny M16A VVT, 235 BFG MT, 2" Trailmaster, ARB rear lck, 17%/87% high/low gears.

so is it nothing to worry about ? check it today in work no oil from seal on trans box just from the rubber on the prop is there a way to get in it and is it just old grease not oil ?
