Hi there, my Jimny W reg, 1300 has a amber, flashing check engine light and when the light is burning. she is driving okay, apart from when the light flashes on, then she looses power. any advice for me?

Either get a code reader or someone who has one to interrogate the car for a fault code. With that we should be able to get you closer to the issue.

thanks Lambert. is it normal for our Jimny's to be made up of motorbike parts ?! :ohmy:
News from the mechanic, after doing the fault code check, it is probably the air Manifold Pressure Sensor that needs replacing. the part number recommended by the manufacturer is 18590-81A00, which is a Suzuki Hayabusa [motorbike] part. this part retails for almost $200! I found a few preowned on Ebay US, for much less..any advice for me?
