Hi All.
I am thinking of kitting out the Jimny for a bit of camping. Are the original roof bars strong enough for a small roof tent? Thanks Allan. :)

Think they are rated for something daft like 30kg max. The tent would probs be ok, but with people in it maybe not!

Been having a look round and I can get a trailer tent for half the price of a roof one! That maybe the way forward. :)

A trailer tent would be a much safer bet. Apart from looking cool, roof tents have some pretty big limitations that mean they aren't very practical for use in the UK or much of the developed world.
