oily leak from front nearside - advice requested

If your car is right hand drive then offside is drivers side is right side. The track rod ends come as both lh thread and rh thread and there are 4 of them as there are the front and aft rods.

OOOPs got that the wrong way around. The descriptions mention right for the passenger side and left for the drivers side. That is the confusing bit.
Yes my car (the wife's car actually) is UK registered RHD.

Good hear you got the bolts out! Having done both sides on our Jimny, I noticed a difference, the first side (nearside) the CV joint was clean hardly any grease, didn't take too much notice though, was anxious to get it back, this was the side that was leaking axle oil. The other side, loads of grease on the CV joint, my conclusion is the gear oil leaking into the CV housing had washed all the grease off, I am now worried I should have applied grease, but as I am limited to 3,000 mile (insurance) I think I can put off stripping it down again for a while anyway. So advise is check it whilst it's out, Martin Lines did something about the amount of grease that should be applied.
Interesting info on the copperslip, I know of a Land Rover that may never come apart again, the one I sold to buy the Jimny!!!
