Bugger me! I normally get Bosch wipes in Halfords and it's getting on £20 for a pair of front ones. It'll be just over a fiver at Eurocarparts for the same ones!
Unbelievable!
I do still try to support my local motor factors though for some bits like brake pads. Use them or lose them!
Obviously there is the Bigjimny shop too but I can spread the love! Not to Halfords though!

The euros online prices are often better than trade! Quite annoying really when you have a trade account and have to check online to see if the discount is better. They always have a 50% discount on for some non existent holiday or 30% off for some other unknown reason.
If you use halfrauds a lot try and get your hands on a halfords trade card, I believe it's something like 70% discount on bulbs and wipers, and also have great discount on there tools, the professional stuff is pretty damn good!
I do pop into my local motormania when I can as they always seem to have bits others can't get hold of, and long opening hours, the guys in there are top lads aswell, always go out of there way to help me out!

I bought a complete set of 3 Aero blades off ebay and they are very good.
They seem to flex better than standard blades.
I bought them because they were cheap(about £7) not because I was going so fast they whistled or lifted
I think you should get in to the habit of lifting your blades to clean them as part of your starting routine.
It's either that or keep the wiper manufacturers in business
