That Dynax - the UC - is what I have been using and it is superb. It seems to go a long way too.

What is wrong with the royal mail that they will only tell you where your tracked package is once they have attempted to make a delivery? Weird.

It depends on the service that the sender has paid for. Standard signed for is only tracked at signature.

I am with you on this. I would love it if all couriers gave a one hour window of delivery time and if I could see where a driver is . I have downloaded apps supposedly to do this and they often don't work. I think DPD is the one that works best followed by UPS. If one courier can do it they all can!!

I used to dislike Hermes but now the one I like the least is royal mail. I have a lot of stuff delivered now I am living away from real shops and many times it is royal mail and I can honestly say their tracking is the pits. Hermes has got its act together in the last few years and I do rate them. I feel that royal mail is not keeping up.

Worst is when RM stuff goes via a London centre from a UK but Chinese seller. RM systems run in arrears and is often a day late.

The tracking is for the benefit of the seller, as they are responsible for the goods, until delivered.

That's fine but if I'm expected to sign for the package I could probably do to know when to be at home to sign for it? Cos I absolutely love having to fight the traffic down into town to get to the sorting office in the 3 plank times a week it is actually open.

That's just one way of looking at it. However I see it differently.

DPD definitely seem to be the best for accurate tracking. Tracking for a sender really only needs to show if/when it was delivered, but for the receiver more granular tracking allows you to plan your day around parcels.

These.

And after all the pointless tracking numbers the post office left them by my front door and didn't even leave me a card or anything. Still. No harm, no foul.
