Is your Jimjam standard on the suspension front?

If so, are you still running your anti roll bar?

If so, the only way I can think of is to replace your suspension bushes with Superpro poly bushes to firm things up a little. I found when I added my castor correction arms and these bushes that not only did the castor correction make the steering good but it made it feel more planted on the road, that's with a 3" lift too!

On my standard Jimny I have noted this too!
Keeping in mind the Jimny is set up for off road/on road it seems to me when you put something heavy in the back it makes the springs work?
My old jimny used to ride well with a heavy trailer or carrying a few heavy bags of cement/sand etc.
It stands to reason that softer springs for road use only would do the same BUT would this induce more roll??
Obviously this would be no good for serious off road work.
I assume bendywagon is thinking along these lines

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)
