Great work !!
Raised one question for me....I, too, have an adaptor plate on mine (235/75/15 on it), and considered removing it, except for one thing...looking at your photo, is there still sufficient gap for water from the window washer to find its way onto the upper half of the glass.....just a thought..

Gus....

Hi Gus,

You know I had never considered that. I just went downstairs to have a check. Looked at the tyre and though that there is no way it would (I couldn't even see the window washer plastic stalk). I flicked it on to check and to my surprise, it sprayed up the window to the top! So looks like it should be okay.

Had a few hours spare so I tried 'flocking' with a little DIY kit I found on eBay. Scrubbed the rear-interior panel (passenger side), primed it and painted it with some grey plastic paint and gave it a light coat of varnish.

Flocked the arm-rest bit in light grey.

Unboxed the new winch to measure it up on the bumper. A bit of chopping needed to fit the facia plate on!

Rear speaker upgrade, using the kit from Big Jimny Store. Very straight forward with interior trim tools. Sound is much improved. Recommended

Today I swapped the metal spire clips for plastic ones on the rear mudflaps. Should stop the rust streaks running down them.

Here is a sneak peek, one down 4 to go.
5 standard Jimny wheels for £40

Wire brushed back to bare metal

Zinc primer

'Steel' colour spray (too much silver for me though)

A bit different to the original silver though

Made a turn table, using an old castor wheel.

The picture doesn't really show the truth, silver looks very close to the alloy colour, but it is a lot paler.

New colour Charcoal grey, I like this colour!

And now with clear coat on.

Both rear boot cards back in after a scrub, respray and 'flocking' on the arm-rest bit. Look tidy and presentable now with the newly painted floor.
