There's a surprise, an after market component not lasting the life of the vehicle, at least it gone now!

Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

It's a g13, would love a swift gti head on a g16 bottom end. This should be running today.

I thought GTI head would give you a world of grief, dizzy at the back of head with clearance problem with fire wall
Since you port and polished the head should flow quite well

Oh right, thanks for pointing that out. It's running sweet now it's not burning coolant.

New MOT! Woohoo.

One small ding on the rear disks but otherwise a fresh year of motoring.

Good news, obviously that bit of Italian welding you had done last year was done well.

That is rear discs brakes for you, nothing but trouble. I find now that discs need replacing with pads, or more frequently if you let the vehicle stand for a while.

If I park up my other vehicle for any length of time, I don't apply the hand brake, just leave it in gear, otherwise the rear brakes stick, it eats discs, I did the last lot myself and saved a few quid.

Thanks Doc! I am happy I took the time to 'rust proof' all that welding with multiple loads of paint too. I'm looking forward to getting under it again this summer for a quick sort.

Good to know about the rear disks and the handbrake. I'm able to park it without the handbrake on (live and go to work on flat ground)...so that's what I'll start and do!

I have a 40mm ToughDog suspension with the lowered chassis member. It sits at about radius arm height. I've hit it several times now so I've replaced it with the Neoplot brace.
