Hi Prunsen, l would like to get a set of your brackets. They would need to be able to take my weight 140 kilos. They need to fit a 1916 model jimny. Please let me know your address and details so that I can purchase a set. Do you take PayPal ? If not let me know please.
Many thanks,
Mark

As Prunsen had said he wasn't going to make any more brackets, and "Jimny5" had earlier posted about the brackets 'hanging in mid-air", I decided to take my own Jimny to pieces today -

I started with some wooden templates...

And then transferred the measurements to steel when I was happy with how the templates fitted...

Rear sear mounts

Front...

All edges radius'ed off, and ready to make some more for sale...!

You may have noticed the "ZookBOB" watermark rather than Bits4Vits?

At the turn of the year, I decided to start MAKING a few Bits for sale in my spare time... Bits4Vits has always been a "buy-to-sell" business, and recently I have been struggling against increased competition from those that "make-to-sell", margins are obviously better when one makes to sell, so I figured I have the tools, the time, and a bit of knowledge, so I might as well put them to use...

So I've started selling a few Bits on eBay as "ZookBOB", BOB being a nod to my first name Robert, as Dave is my middle name, it also stands for Bits On a Budget too ;)

I've already got a few Bits on eBay <= LINK

And will be listing more parts as they are made... Some are due back from plating soon too B)

These seat spacers I think I'll get black powdercoated though, so they should be for sale in a couple of weeks...

Dave / "Bob" ;)

Hanging in fresh air is no problem....they'll never bend.

How about ordering some laser cut dave?

If you want the file for the laser cutters let me know.

Cheers Keithy ;)

I don't fancy them hanging in mid-air either though?

And the steel is on it's way... I'll make a few and see if / how they sell...

Thanks anyways :)

Dave

Will be waiting for them to go eBay :). Have you ever thought about making a dedicated subframe for bucket seats?

Made a batch this morning and dropped them off for powdercoating in satin black...

Should be ready to collect on Monday...

Meanwhile I'll do a costing on them... ;)

Hmmm, it's worth a thought...

I welded my bucket seat mounts to a stripped Jimny seat in order to get the sliding mounts -

That would be the awkward bit, to get the seat adjustable...
