I think you may have missed the fact that there is a pre meet and natter already organised at the Old Bell which is the Pub next to the place that I think a number of people are staying at.
I missed it too a while back when I made the same suggestion!
Or am I yet again slow on the uptake and missed the point.

That would make sense, the Berkshire Arms also has a Premier Inn atached to it. Both are ok, as I recall the Old Bell has a bigger bar area. Both have ok/sensibly priced food.

I hope I don't need to remind anyone but like all motorsport events please make sure you have a full tank of petrol as using 4x4 low range all day will definitely have an impact on your fuel usage. There's nothing worse than getting stuck in a hole and then having the car die because you ran out of fuel. That said I'm sure someone will happily run out for a gerry can, but let's all be prepared.
