If nobody from Suzuki shows up, which would frankly be a very grave mistake in my view, (particularly when you consider the following the Jimny and its predecessors has earned itself), then the wider motoring press really should know about it.

It's quite clear to me that the Jimny is a classic in its own time - just as the MX5 has secured a place as a classic; perhaps one of the classic magazines should show up such as Practical Classics!

And that's not even over-use of the word "Classic"

I attended a Hilux meet in South Wales some years ago. A member of the club thought it reasonable to notify Toyota UK. As a new Hilux model had just reached Britain a couple of representatives sporting the new car and some advertising materials duly arrived. The event that had started out as a small club gathering very nearly became a promotional tool saved only by the club members determination to get muddy.
