A while ago I replaced the exhaust on "LittleJimny". Since then I have had great difficulty in getting it to seal. It is a sprung loaded flexible joint so should be a "dry" seal with no sealant or gasket, just a stainless steel mesh ring.
It has continuously blown slightly since I changed it.
I decided to wipe sealant around the joint so I took it apart tonight. By co-incidence the old sealing ring was lying on the garage floor ( I am untidy!) and I noticed something strange, the old seal is larger than the new one!.
A quick swap over (and a wipe with sealant just in case) and its all fixed!
