No problem Daniel, if your boots are muddy carpet isn't much good but it does dry your soles of your shoes off to stop them slipping off the pedals.

Could have done 2 weeks ago hal I was in Northumbria visiting family. It's easy to fit I sprayed water on the strip back with a drop of fairy liquid and moved it into place then used a card to squeegee out the water.

Reminds me of when I removed my 205 gti throttle body to improve airflow by boring it out slightly and polished it to a mirror finish. Not sure if it gave much bhp increase but the smooth internals never got sooted up.
