I have been looking to buy a standard jimny and covert it into a reasonable 'off roader' myself, I will put a 2" body lift (not suspension) on it and try keep it standard as possible really.
I have found a website that sells the 2" body lift but now just looking for a decent set of mud tyres and wheel package online.
I will be using the car everyday to work and general trips so I was wondering if anyone can recommend any tyres that aren't to aggressive on road but are still highly capable off road (if this is possible) I can put up with abit of uncomfort but using it on a daily basis I don't want to be fighting with the tyres.
Also I want the wheels mean and big to set the car off.
If anyone could recommend a website to get a package would be brill! Or somewhere close to Bristol.

Good tyres for offroad and on are dakars they are a copy of the bfg muds
The bigger you go on tyres the worse your car will be both on and off road unless you change your transfer gearing
Hope that helps and welcome to the forum

Is cheeper than a ''real'' lift and being under 2" wont need castor corrected radius arms
Its basicly 4 spring spacers and then brackets to make your shocks longer
Wow tyres size thats the No1 question around here lol there are hundreds of threads about it
If it were me i would stick to stock size as even at stock low ratio on the box isnt quite low enough ,
But thats not good for looks so you like everyone wants a nice chunky tyre

I just assume big set of ballon type tyres and jimny's be unstoppable lol
And yeah I've looked through the gallery and there are some nice wheels people have put on their jimny's but I can't find out what they are haha
But I'm completely new to off roading so that's why I'm gonna try do as much research as I can before I buy one lol

JimnyDan wrote: hi mate, im 18 as well like you and i have 2" spring spacers on mine like reaper has just described in the post above, with 215/75/15 bfg mud terrains
Have you taken off the front bumper or anything? Do they rub?

jimnybob wrote: kuhmo tyres are good (correct me if spelling is wrong) ive got a set on my vitara rims at the moment. also got a set of 31" kingpins on the chrome wheels in my picture and another set of standard rims with.... cant remember the make but good tread pattern
Do vitara fatboy wheels fit on a jimny with a 1 3/4" lift on it?
(With no trimming or front bumper removed)

31" on stock box is a bad idea and with 2" lift will mean ALOT oof trimming
Best way is to find a members truck you like and ask them about there mods
