Jimny in Panama was created by PanaJimny
I have looked over this forum since several years and it contains many interestings things.

As the subject says, I am based in Panama Central America and below are some pictures and a video of my Jimny. I was very excited of it during 2009 as the rig abused pratically in many trails.

As a newbie, I had no idea about making stock hardware stronger until the transfer case mount broke in 3 pieces. Until then I have not used my daily driver car for offroad, instead I have started to build a Suzuki Samurai.

To be honest after offroading in the Samurai, I really want to come back to offroad in my Jimny (a lot of confort and extras)... it will take some time but that will be my goal.

About specs..

Well it has:
* This car was bought in 2007
* M13a Engine
* 3" Lift kit from GIZ (Taiwan) everything good except the rear control arm.. for me it sucks as it has a source of pivot angle that in certain moments in the road makes the driveshaft to make an annoying beer can vibration noise.

* ARB Bumper
* OGZ Snorkel (Imported from Brazil -- nice uh?? )

I used to get in there a Smittybilt XRC winch (8,000 pounds) but it was switched to the Suzuki Samurai.

Since the last trail back in 2009 I got pretty upset of the mount base broke... yeah sounds like an easy fix, but the transfer dropped down and the transmision driveshaft also broke a piece of the transmission tail sealing area.

I was very close to sell this car, but by fortune I will keep it as the plan will be swaping the Samurai transfer case to the Jimny (4.16:1 reduction), Toy 8 axles and 34" Super Swampers... this will be a 2 year plan as I will be doing offroad in the Samurai.. I need my mud dosis badly.... just to give you an Idea of how the Samurai is:

Evil Twin dual shifter kit

The new transfer case

The main reason of why I will be doing offroad in the Samurai is because I have spent a considerable amount of money in the drive train (transfer case) axles (from Toyota Hilux) and other stuff..... so the next 2 years I will drive it as is.. While I think hard how to lift other extra 3 inches my Jimny... I would need your advice for this one. :woohoo:

The Jimny freewheel hubs are also broken and I have no plans at all to buy new ones.. the main dealer are selling these at $700 the pair. Aren´t they dopped? So... I will purchase Samurai manual hubs at $175 the pair.

I am also thinking badly to cut the plastic fenders and fit 31" MT tires into the Jimny. At least to give it an aggressive look, either way I am not planning to do mud on it until I get everything to swap all the serious hardware. So these tires should be good for 2 years just for look.... either way the old tires are wasted.
