made a start on making some diff guards today

still needs a few bits finishing before splashing it with a bright colour :laugh:

That looks great, do you have any more pics of them and how you have attached them. From this angle I can only think that you have welded them direct to the diff.

ive mounted them to the rear of the diff casing bolts where the diff bolts to the axle ill sort some pics

Thanks, if you could that would be great, I want to start making up some under body protection for the transfer box and radius arms when I find some time. Diffs will be next on my list, I just could not think if a good way to fix them.

please excuse all the mud under the jimny not had chance to clean the underside since getting it muddy the other day lol

oh and dan w not forgot about your pictures ill take them when i bolt it on when i actually get time

Thanks Mate, no rush, it will be some time untill I get around to making some up for mine. The Transfer Box guard looks pretty substantial.

i would add some braces in this area i think it may be a week point and move on the bend of the up rights

thanks for the idea and the next one i make will have them i always appreciate peoples advice and ideas on things i fab up

however it dosnt really need bracing its all 6mm and on the top ive stiched two 50 x 6mm flat bars from front to back that making it 12mm in places i could jack the whole jimny off it lol

but this is just a test part a work in progress once ived used it and bent it i will make another with bracing if needed i always keep drawings and measurments on everything i make ,so i can easly make more

rear battery and split charge relay

That's looking dam good now mate any chance on getting a pic of how the diff guard is attached, it is on my to do lost for the new year. Cheers
