Welcome - nice to see another red one. It's surprising how much those shiny bits sell for on ebay.

When they are new they stick on with 3M double sided tape type stuff. It sticks well and you may break the plastic 'chrome' before you get them off.

Warm the parts up with a hair dryer and slowly work your way round the pieces.

Sticky stuff remover, Isopropyl alcohol, or nail varnish remover to remove the sticky residue. Watch your paint work!

Halford posted the other day showing a headlight mask he spotted on a foreign ebay. Basically your bling painted body colour. Might be a cool mod you could do, and be a little different to others? Or sell them to someone who will do it :cheer:

Welcome.

Mine was dripping in bling when i got it, i was surprised how much somebody paid for all the extras when new. IIRC the grill and headlamp surrounds are £270ish.

I sold the side steps after its first outing off road, i bent all the brackets. Straightened them and flogged the steps. Only recently sold the rest, handle and headlamp surrounds and grill inserts for about £75. Look great on a road going truck but looks ridiculous when you're in the mud.

The doors are the hardest part, i would use some sort of wire as i tried levering the corners and just lightly damaged the paint and i've still not got all the residue off.

Black Jimny's don't get stuck!
