Finally it's not standard was created by SPC5838
Finally got my new wheels on ( bumper trim was planned for later, but had to do it now to get the wheels on, at least the approach angle is better ;) ) Lift still to be done, saving for a wedding doesn't help modding plans  If you're thinking about putting a facelfit bumper on and can find one, don't bother. You're better off with out it

Where the problems started, jacked up wheels free, bumper trim brought forward :)

Rubber's Toyo Open Country 215 / 75. Not had a chance to play with them in the dirt yet, but hopefully be OK. Was originally planning for BFG KM2 but being quoted between £104 and £153 a piece... same story on Hankook RT03 and Kumho KL71...:S These are £76 from black circle :)

Cheers supergaz ! This is my daily driver so I can't go to daft with it. +2" inch is next as looks like I can do it cheaper than +3. If any one is running a 3" lift on the road how does it handle ? I went from a Shogun to the Jimny and even after 18 months it's still bloody scary in a side wind on standard suspension :woohoo:

 Nice one Darth. I'm having to use the same approach to the Tay / Friarton / Forth bridges in a proper wind at the mo as I am to side side slopes; then tightness of my ass is a good guide if it's do-able or not :silly:

Only other issue since the wheels went on is MAJOR steering wheel shake about 40, hoping it's just wheel balance and not death wobble :(

might be worth checking your track rod ends for play as well as the muds may be showing up any wear
ours went from OK to horrendous after one fairly strenuous pay and play ( front wheels in the air a few times)

May be worth considering a steering damper.

You should be ok then, motors have to give way to sail, stick a spinnaker on the front!

Run it a bit more now, vibration starts at 35, steering shakes like hell on the button of 40 and gone again by 45  Does it accelerating through 40, braking throught it and forget doing 40 - 30 or 50 only options till it's sorted :S . Back to get the wheels re-balanced first but the play / wear some where makes sense;the steels / bigger tyres are way heavier than the stock alloys so I guess they're putting on more stress. Only passed the MOT recently so hopefully nothings hanging off it :( It all feels ok jacked up but I'll get it on a ramp to check it all

Steering damper could be a good call; do they really make a noticeable difference ? I'd read they stop it tram lining as much but it'd take the shockie of a tank to stop what it's doing now

Where's your sense of adventure? Try it with 2" body lift, 3" longer springs, 31" Insa Turbo Special Tracks with no anti-roll bars in the 70-80 mph winds we've just had up here in the last couple of days! :silly:  :silly:

 it's not been much better round here mate ! going from the mitsi to the jimny was a big enough shock to get used to, it getting delivered with the king pins hanging out didn't help either - it was all over the road if a sparrow farted as I drove past - a case of   :woohoo:  and close to :side: and :silly: a few times when I got a bit to ambitious  I'm getting used to it but the missus isn't, stops her pinching it ;)
