Probably - they spent half the time washing the car, half the time cleaning their drains

Onto good news, I got the new Panhard (see the problem in this topic ) and installed it this morning - Little Tank is back on the road ! and off the road of course :P

The old adjustable Panhard didn't seem to be very thin either, looked good enough. However, the new one has two nuts to tighten it after adjusting; the old one had only one nut, and of course the thread broke on the nut-less side (see the pics here ). I believe the nut was forgotten at install time, leading to the thread failure. Anyway, happy to report the new bar has two nuts :P

The new bar has the adjustment threads positioned closer to the middle of the bar. Therefore, the steering damper had to be repositioned also (with new brackets, as the old ones broke on removal). I have to go check alignment and angles, but I'll do that after putting in the caster correction bushes. Ah, and I drove it around a little without the steering damper ... quite "fun", but it's much more comfortable with a damper.

Now I'm happy as a frog during flood season

Managed to get the rear Panhard up installed today and also fixed the problem I detailed here .

Changed the front arm bushes for caster correction:

They got out without any drama, 6-8 tons on the press. The old bushes looked surprisingly well for 65k kilometers:

Steering is now more "normal" and it returns to center properly.

Well, managed to get some "war wounds".

No damage to the body panels, except the "metal skirt" is a little bent and some paint chipped off (talking about the wheel arch extension). Is it glued or welded to the body ?

Off to insurance tomorrow...
