Another post, another interior! Sadly Mrs Little Jimny didn't really get on with the Recaros so I decided to try to find a decent original interior (I couldn't bring myself to just go back to the standard grey cloth seats). Anyway, to cut a long story short I found a Jimny Mode being broken a few miles up the road so it kindly donated most of its interior and its alloys :laugh:

Here's the new interior;

You can see from this shot that one of the cubby covers was missing so I've had to use an original light grey one. If anyone has a spare dark grey one please let me know B)

And finally, the back door. As bit of a bonus I discovered the door release catch had been hidden behind the old trim, so I bent it back into place and now have a back door I can open from inside

The alloys have needed a darn good seeing to with Wonder Wheels and will soon be replacing my Vitara 5 spokes for winter duties.

Very nice. What did you use for the floor covering?

Thanks. The front is just standard Jimny carpet, the back I ply lined (to get it to one level) and got a universal cut to size rubber mat off eBay for about a tenner.

Yeah, this was one of those rare occasions of being in the right place at the right time. The seats were in exceptional condition given that they were from a breakers (the guy had taken the seats out of the car and stored them in a container) - all they needed was a quick dust down and a once over with Autoglym Leather Care.

The wheels are nowhere near as good, but they'll do fine for winters. Once I've swapped the tyres over I'll pop some pics up.

I've got those seats in mine and they are as comfy as jimjam seats get. I like them. There was a Mode being broken on eBay the other day if anyone wants to look it up.

They look good in your Jimjam too. Much easier to get into without the side bolsters. My mate had Rs Turbo Recaros in his old SJ and they were a pain in the arse, quite literally sometimes!

What do you think?

Nice little jeep, where would u get one of these?

I found it on eBay. The standard body is white but I sprayed mine up to sort of almost match the real thing :laugh:
