If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Check the simple stuff- blocked/flattened exhaust, blocked air cleaner, throttle opens fully
Then look at
seized camshaft
cylinder compression
low fuel pressure
cam angle sensor
You didn't service anything before this happened did you?

so ive been back over everything again and its still not playing ball the only thing i can think is airflow metre or whatever you chaps call it anyone actually had to replace one yet?
