What tyres do you have fitted Val?
Tyres will make a huge difference on how effective any 4wd is.
When I got mine it had the stock Bridgestone Duellers on and it was awful. Even when it was just wet they slipped/slid all over the place. I didn't even bother to try them on anything close to muddy/slippery conditions and swapped them out for some Hankook RF10's (couldn't find any Grabber AT2's unfortunately) which have been great in the snow, mud, wet and dry. They are an All Terrain tyre so have their limitations but for a daily driver that sometimes encounters some sticky conditions, they have been ace. It has made the world of difference to the truck.
