I'm sure somebody said they'd put a yellow top in place of the original on here just a week or so ago. I never even considered the boot, fumes?, taking up space, long cable run etc :dry: Did you have to do a bit of bashing to get the one in the other side?

have a look at an optima yellow top
expensive but you get a deep cycle battery for running amps together with a cca of 460a for starting and will fit in the standard jimny location

There are 2 different sizes of yellow top a 2.7 & 4.2. I think this one is the 2.7 andhence fits into the gap of the original battery location. Mine unfortunately is the larger 4.2 battery.

will the jimny altanter charge a 2.7 yellow top 430amps will it be ok
