My plan is to buy as much of it as and when i can afford it, hopefully saving a big outlay at once. I'm in no hurry so i'll just get it together slowly.
As for fitting for the OP, copied from another thread:
Its simple, support one side and put the jack under the other. Undo the shock mount and let the jack down slowly as your brakeline will be maxed out. The spring should drop out or at least be near to it.
Remove the old rubbers at the top and give the seat a good clean, put the new one in place and put the spring back in. Jack it up so its just supported and make sure the spring is in the correct position. Jack right up(you may need a block to get a bit extra height) and replace the shock bolt - the hardest part if you're not fitting the shock spacers. I had to fight like hell to get mine to extend by hand enough to get the bolt in.
Before doing anything, spray all the bolts with the famous penetrating fluid! I did mine for a few days before.
Black Jimny's don't get stuck!

Darthloachie, thats my thinking on them. When i bought the bits i always said they'd never be wasted, the only parts that will be redundant are the front shock extensions. Later in the year i'll couple it all up with some 2" springs and +4" shocks and all the associated castor correction etc...
Then it gets really expensive! Panhard rods/Extended brake lines/caster correction arms and all bushes.
And where do you stop?
I'm planning on transmission disk brake, rear disk conversions ect.
But any part that I have made redundant has gone to good use to other members on this forum.

If you mean the shock extensions like Martin's, there's pictures:
www.bigjimny.com/store/index.php/off-roa...k-brackets/p_14.html
My turn now
I've got the above shock brackets (thanks again Martin, great service) which will obviously extend the shock by about 1 inch. At the same time, I want to fit 1 inch spring spacers to the front (as the springs sagged a bit under the weight and the Jimny's nose points a bit to the ground).
This means the rear shocks will be more compressed and the front springs will be more compressed. Does anyone have this combination, by any chance ? Will this cause problems in the suspension ?
