Dealing with rust Jimny JLX

Hi Everyone 

I have had my jimny for two weeks and I know these cars are very well known for  rust issues.

I am UK based ( Midlands) and looking for ways to treat  these rust spots or if there is anyone who could recommend welders if these spots need doing. 

I've attached images so everyone can have a look at what i am dealing with . 

1) have checked behind headlights 
2) Boot floor has started showing the signs of severe rust .

Do want to find a solution to this issue asap.

Have you got any videos on how you did this ? it does look like the buzzweld did a good job.
I am just a little weary being a beginner.

Did you seal it from the top and the bottom ?

no video 
only sealed from inside 
scraped out all old seam seal 
painted with RCP then re sealed when dry

If you buy the rcp also get a tin of thinners too
decant into a pot and add thinners 
try to avoid putting thinners in main tin
always fit lid back on asap 

So just for clarification on exact steps on the steps I need to take

1) Remove rust only around the edges
2) apply the thinner
3) apply the buzzweld rcp and let dry

I'll jump in here and say RCP is very good, I use it myself, but it's not a miracle cure for rot.
To give it a fighting chance of working you need to remove any loose rust / surface rust as much as you can. This will involve a wire brush or wire cup brush on a grinder or drill. As you have a mixture of surface rust and rot you will end up with a paint ready surface or a big hole in the bodywork.
At this point you weld up any holes, but just painting if you can't will slow down the rate at which the hole grows.
If you paint over loose rust you are just wasting your time, so you can't avoid this stage if you want things to last. 

RCP is a little on the thick side, you add a small amount of thinners to the paint if you want it to flow better from the brush,  for spraying, and to stop it drying as quick. As Jack said, mix thinners and paint in a separate tin as the adding to the main tin may pop the lid in storage. You don't need to add much thinners, it's also possible to use without, but better with and you need to clean your brush after.

So go for it, it's going to help, but don't be surprised if you end up with a few (larger) holes that may need welding. Finding a garage to do the welding can be a bit of a lottery, quite a few don't want to know. Find a local (to you)  classic car group and ask the members if they have any recommendations for welding, the grape vine is by far the best way to find a good welding service.

Thank you for taking the time for getting back to me.
I have now contacted a local welder to get the issue sorted .
Will keep you guys updated once I start the process of applying the buzzweld.

Update on car :

Got the boot welded and managed to use the buzzweld on it.

Now time to tackle the rust at in the engine bay .
