Ok so if it's not been regeared then that is not ideal but not a deal breaker. What it means is that the torque converter will heating the transmission fluid up more than a standard car but this can be compensated with an additional oil cooler. The thing is though the standard car is designed to tow a 1300kg trailer without placing undue heat stress on the transmission. By running the larger tyres you are in essence working the transmission as if it's got a trailer on all the time so the reality is likely that with just the big tyres you will be fine if however you need to tow a trailer as well this will need additional transmission fluid cooling. Hope that makes sense and isn't too rambling.

Are you familar with this guy on YouTube?

Might be worth getting in touch with him (not sure of his tyre size off hand) but his videos are well worth a watch. His next mod is to tackle the gearing.

Yes, this makes sense and wasn't to rambling, unlike my original post. Thank you! I don't intend to be doing any towing at any point so that shouldn't be an issue

I had a test drive of the car again this eve on some slightly rougher roads and noticed there seemed to be a fair amount of bump steer. I’m guessing this is down to the lift, but it caught me by surprise. The car suddenly jerked off to the left after riding over a rough patch of tarmac. It was surprising. We often get 40m/s winds here and I’m worried about that happening during one of those storms. Maybe it’s just a tyre pressure issue. Or maybe I’d have to look into the steering more. Would the 2” lift have been enough to require panhard/pitman adjustments on a gen 4? I should check whether the trail master kit came with castor adjustment bushes or not as it's available with or without. Surely they need to be there, especially in bigger tyres.

A full 2 inch kit should include springs dampers extended brake lines and a cross member with adjusted clearance for the propshaft. Beyond that the rest of the components will operate successfully. Once you venture above 2 inch you need the castor correction and the rest to get everything back to spec. The chances are that the tyres will be way too high pressure which will cause the car to bounce off line.
