I’m guessing this is down to the lift, but it caught me by surprise. The car suddenly jerked off to the left after riding over a rough patch of tarmac. It was surprising. We often get 40m/s winds here and I’m worried about that happening during one of those storms. Maybe it’s just a tyre pressure issue. Or maybe I’d have to look into the steering more. Would the 2” lift have been enough to require panhard/pitman adjustments on a gen 4? I should check whether the trail master kit came with castor adjustment bushes or not as it's available with or without. Surely they need to be there, especially in bigger tyres.

Check the tyre pressures. With that size you should be running a maximum of around 1.2 bar on road. With 50mm lift, there shouldn't be much misbehaviour on road. A quick fix would be to have castor correction bushes fitted.
