First vid is of duke street where the water bust its banks. The next vid is of the river culm in cullompton where the river is 8 feet higher than normal and flowing very fast.
The paddle is from an aluminium pole with still water bottles duck taped to each end.

I think it's very irresponsible using "still water bottles" just to make a paddle! Don't you know there's a water shortage? You should have used coke (please note other carbonated drinks are available) bottles!!

I think I have walked across that field, is there a fishing lake with a static caravans next to it just round the corner?
