so which are the best, billet type (BIG BUCKS!) or Grayston spacers, I have standard 5 spoke alloys. I like the look of jimnybits anodised blue billet spacers, but do they warrant the extra dosh. They also seem to have longer studs, do they require open wheel nuts. (more dosh!).

depends how rich you are
cheap one's OK for us peasants
but if cash no object - get the expensive ones - same as with everything in life

if you're going to heavily off-road them, then I guess the solid billet ones
if they're mainly on-road and light off-road, the cheapies will be fine
;)

yes, you will need to use openwheel nuts on these spacers. I have the same spacers and the closed nuts are a little short to fit as these have longer studs.

The greyston spacers are spot on, and buy from a trusted seller.

Iv used closed nuts but the nuts are longish. Got them off ebay.

I got wheel spacers purely for stability....mainly offroad side slopes but they do help on road aswell

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationThese are what I've had fitted for the last 12 months, I cant fault them. These are on Ebay at the minutes at a good price.
