KAP exhaust was created by adam
I just received my KAP exhaust yesterday. I just thought I would let any of you who was thinking of getting one, its well worth the money. It comes well packed and with next day delivery.
I did put an extra couple of layers of black high heat spray on just to help the life time of it.

It would of gone on perfect if I hadnt left on the bracket from the real bull bar, had to grind that off as the bolts werent playing ball!!!

End of the day, its a great can with a roaring raw sound. Not too loud and not to quiet, just enough to make your jeep a little meaner.

Be interesting to know whether they fit along with a tow bar... are they physically the same size as the standard box with the standard fitting? and am i likely to need to cut at my bumper?

I emailed KAP a couple of months ago, but no reply :(

My standard factory exhaust has started to rattle when cold... i assume its the heat shield... its been flaking since i had the car 18months ago

Any info would be appreciated :)

Haha I will try and get a video up and will post photos later. I thought the tail pipe would be too long but it finishes flush with the bumper and basically fills the cut out part of the bumper so there isnt much room if it rattles. It is a standard fit but the rubbers are pulled to the sides rather than dangerling so to speek!! As regards to fitting with a tow bar on, im not sure as I think the tow bar is attached to the part I had to cut off!!:s. Before I bought it, I rang KAP and they were quite helpful. If there is one niggle I would say about KAP which is a tiny one, They will only post to where the card is regestered to but if thats ok with you then is dosent matter, I will defo buy from them again!!:) Your heat shield may have flapped away from the main part of the can, you could try knocking it back in with a rubber mallet and check it isnt touching the bottom of your bumper!!

Very tinny rattle at idle or accelerating is likely to be the heat sheild on top of the cat the four corners of mine rusted off leaving it completely loose but it can't fall off cos of the lambda sensor. I put a bit of stainless steel "band it" "make your own jubilee clip" round the whole thing to stop the rattle.

Mine is also rattling, it has flaked away really badly on the outside and when I tap it I can hear the inside rattling badly. I'm going to go the custom route using the middle section of an exhaust from another car as the back box on the Jimny (gives it a nice exhaust note), and I can make it fit with my tow bar.

Out of interest, what is the bore of the kap back box? I'm thinking of going for 2".

It would be great if you could get a video of the kap box up :)
