The other drawback is that a stock engine usually runs rich at WOT anyway so it needs to be leaned off a touch to get optimum power. Running richer through the midrange does make it feel a little faster but the fuel trims will pull it back some.
Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.

Az1987 wrote: As said above they work by tricking your engine ECU in to thinking the air going in to the engine is cooler than it is, so the ECU then up's the fuel. So all they do is make you car run rich all the time which will make you use more fuel and could poss damage the CAT as more fuel in the system means more undurnt fuel in the exhaust and higher emissions come MOT time.

I was wondering about a similar device myself. I saw some non adjustable ones on Ebay for less than a tenner which the seller was claiming produced up to 7bhp extra together with more torque.
The extra torque sounded attractive as I've just bought my first JImny and the lack of torque combined with the slow gearchange doesn't make for easy driving around country roads.
It did sound too good to be true so perhaps I'll spend the tenner on cider instead.
