when i put it in 4wd after 15 seconds the 4wd light starts flashing and its still in 2wd i always select 4wd when out of gear with my foot on the clutch is this correct?? or can i do it when mooving while in gear with out putting my foot on the clutch?? i no u have to be going under 60mph and have the steering straight but y would it not be going in to 4wd?? any help much appreciated thanks. sorry about the spelling

your problem is very common with jimny's its the vacume operated fwh's that are not engaging most common cause is a leak on one of the pipes going to the hubs

ive had the car up and its def the hubs but how do i trace the problem? thanks jason

you can shift into 4wd up to 60mph? that seems kinda fast at least for most 4wds I know of

Nope, ours would take that happily (before the lobster box went in) ... now I have to stop, apply handbrake then shift into 4wd
