Hi All,

I bought my first Jimny yesterday, having got rid of my beloved VW Touareg.

The Jimny is a 55plate VVT and initial impressions are it is great.

One problem I have is "death wobble" and looking under the vehicle there is grease seeping around the swivel on the nsf. Not being a mechanic I was wondering if anyone could recommend a specialist near Chippenham/Bath who could check it out and fix it. Or this something which any decent garage could do?

thank, Jon.

Sounds like swivel (kingpin) bearings
Pretty much any garage could do it: you could do it yourself if you have a decent toolkit, there are step by step guides on here in the Information section.

If you intend off-roading it, you will have to do a lot of repair/maintenance yourself, or face huge bill anyway.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)
