im toying with the idea for getting myself a road legal quad
has anyone got one?, what are they like? and what to go for?
it will be 80% road use and 20% offroad.
dont mind if its used and my budget will be between £1500 and £2000, maybe even £2500 if i see somthing realy nice.
only ever ridden one round a field once but think they look ace, im also attracted by the low running costs
ive heard Quadzilla are quite good?

Maybe you should get one of these Argo's. I've had the 6x6 version for about 15 years and it is a fun vehicle, particularly in the swamp. Mine also gets a regular run in summer out on the bay.

I've had race quads since i was a youngster that i use for off road use only, they arent that fast on the road, and dont really handle too well on road they have alot of grip on tarmac and can be hard to steer as they prefer to slide through corners, could be fun on b roads and lanes though single track stuff where you will feel that you are throwing it through the bends, off road though they are great fun, i would stick to the main brands honda 450r, yamaha raptor or yfz, suzuki lt 400 or ltr 450 these can be made fully road legal, there is alot of chinese rubbish on the market at the moment, ive never seen a quadzilla in the flesh but they dont look like they would be nearly as fast / fun as a proper quad, they do come road registered and ready to go though which would be easier than registering it yourself. Flat out on road a quad will empty the tank in a couple of hours.
