Crickey - you do know how to get muddy!

Hi everyone, its been a while as always busy. I have finally got some paint on the radius arm and shock guards. I have also started to make a skid plate for the front as i found the original set up to square and just dug into everything. Pics to follow, comments please :)

It all started with a bit of 3mm steel...

Abit of cutting and bending...

I would like to add i have never done anything like this before so it wont be perfect lol

These wont look this perfect for long...

These have saved my shocks many times already...

One day ill pull the transfer box guard off and paint it. Until then it is rocking the rust look.
Also camber adjusting bushes arrived in the post yesterday and will be going to the rear to level everything back out.

Got the skid plate on ready for tomorrow, will need to come off for a proper paint soon but not enough time today. Hope it holds up to the beating.

A few photos from the weekend. The jimny took a bit of abuse and a hard knock to the drivers side rear wheel causing the rear pan rod to bend slightly. After a quick bend the other way it looks ready for another thrashing this weekend. New skid plate worked well and im sure saved the front end a few times.

This is a split second after i think the pan rod was bent as the jimny was thrown right.

Had a little fun coming up a short clime a little to fast.

Crickey! That is some abuse!

You need some heavy duty panhard rods!

ya tell me about it, mine have had some steel welded to them and heavy duty ends but i think the fact it bend may have saved something else a lot more costly from breaking.
