Steering wheel adjustment was created by weecorey
My steering wheel is sitting ever so slightly to the right to keep the wheels straight, what's the best way to go about correcting it? I had all the rods off and the axle stripped recently when I changed kingpin bearings ect. I didn't renew any track rod ends or adjust any of the steering but somehow its off and doing my head in. I did get new tyres fitted but like for like. I'm thinking if I remove the rod from the steering wheel to passenger hub and shorten it via the track rod end it will work?

Its a simple adjustment.
1. Make sure your tracking is ok,
2. Loosen the lock nuts on the tie rod ends on the short bar that attaches to the steering box. Leave the tie rod ends connected.
3. Put a spanner on the flats cut into the steering bar and rotate it until the steering wheel is straight. (experiment with the direction)
4. Tighten the lock nuts.

I have the same problem
Can you tell me if the drop pitman arm
Should be parallel with chassis when wheels are straight

If you are getting roughly the same number of turns from centre to each lock I would say not to worry too much about it being parallel
