Hello there.
My 2014 Suzuki Jimny blows cold air. Things I've checked:

- coolant: level is near "FULL" mark.
- the termostat should be working correctly -- within 5-10 minutes from cold, the temperature indicator sits near in the middle
- the levers behind the console are connected and moving freely
- if I touch the two pipes that goes into the cabin, they are hot (one is slightly hotter then the other - inlet?)

The Jimny has not done so much offroad, but could be that the air flow is somewhat blocked by debris? I've read that accessing the matrix is a nightmare but it's possible to put a hole into the camber and suck the dirty out with a vacuum cleaner; I've found a couple of guides for the Samurai, but does anybody has an idea if it would work for the Jimny?

Thanks a lot, and greetings from Italy!

Probably the control cable has been kicked off the bottom of the heater under the dash.

Take a torch and look up either side of the transmission tunnel. You will see cables coming down that operate the heater flaps. These are easily kicked off the little control arms.

I know you say you have checked but make sure that are actually moving the flaps

I had this issue, remove the pipes going into the bulkhead, push a hose pipe in there and flush out, you'll be surprised how much crap comes out!

Thanks. I've checked the cables again, they are connected and working (in the sense that they can move freely).

I've had a look at the internal filter (pollen filter?) and boy it was dirty! There was lots of stuff packed in. Is there a way to clean other parts of the circuit without taking apart the whole dashboard ?

Sorry to go one about it but do the cables actually move anything, can you hear a clunk from the unit as the flaps are moved from one end to the other. Its just that Jimny heaters are usually hard to stop heating, they always give too much :)

No problem Martin! And thanks for the hints.
I can hear a clunk when I turn the knobs, something is moving in there.
