Here is my new exhaust. I have used the small middle silencer from a diesel Datsun exhaust (was found in an old stock room at an exhaust and component place for £10) and had it made in to the back box with a 3" stainless steel tip. It sounds much beefier but not too loud:

Powerflow custom Stainless Steel £170 :pinch: but comes with lifetime guarantee - (you do have to take it in to be inspected every 12 months and get a little sticker  )

not boy racer but nice sound - does mean you get wet from leaving the window open so you can hear it better - hence, they should come with window wind deflectors as standard

Yeah that Datsun silencer should be fine. To be honest, any small middle silencer from any car would make a decent Jimny back box substitute.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI've just had a quick check and this is the silencer I have used for the back box:

I'd second that. I've been driving mine around the yard with no exhaust pipe at all - just the engine manifold and am amazed how quiet it is! It makes less noise than my LR 110 and that has a CAT and two boxes!

I'm tempted to make my own silencer out of an old coco tin ;)

Guidance on fitting alliterative back box - with the Nissan box, is there much cutting and bending required? I.e. Is fairly straight forward?? Limited budget and all that.

My back box is falling apart and needs replacing. Any hints or tips gratefully received.
