Well its done. Those of you with a masochistic trait can read the write up here CLUTCH CHANGE . Those of a weaker disposition I would take your Jimny to the Dealers, it may be hard on the wallet but its far easier!

I changed clutch on mine its not a nice job!! Superb guide. Did you put standerd clutch in or paddel?

Yes - not a job I want to repeat in a hurry. I am actually keeping my eye open for an automatic gearbox as I love autos off-road. Not an easy conversion as nowadays it needs a lot of electrical bits (gearbox ECU and Instrument pod for example) but at least you are never in the wrong gear and there is no clutch to flood with mud. Also the torque multiplication is good.

I put in the cheapest standard clutch I could find. Some people suggest that paddle clutches are from the world of motor racing and therefore are violent on the take-up which is no good for delicate off-roading (and the price is expensive as well!)
